Hemp Show Pt. 1 August 11

Cat and Mouse with a Cheezy grin. Michael has been prescribed some legal prescription drugs and is late again. The show waits with Bobalong and Goddess passing titbits of informative information on the Art of Feeding Mice.

Michael arrives and it's news news and new news getting crazier as it goes. Selectively gleaned from the mainstream media and carefully brewed for craziness. (My favorite is the use of flurescent makeup kits to fool the video cameras when doing a bank robbery ...  )

8.4 Mb. 36 mins. 32 kbps

Hemp Show Part 2 August 11 2006.

More advice from 8th time 'drug offender' Rock, reporting back from the first Court appearance. He invokes the 'religious defense'.

Michael has read the coverage by the regional media monopoly rag which took time out from cattle shows and roads to do a piece on the foundation of the Church of the Holy Smoke. Michael is incensed at the form of conservative outrage. The international 4:20 Dateline driven 4:20 ceremonial lightening up is equated (in the local rag) with 'burning money'. The Goddess picks up the ball and begins to run with it. "Couldn't we ask for donations from our acolytes?" the Goddess suggests. Is this the beginning of a Sacred Herb Tax? Watch this space. Suggestions on the various currencies that might be burned. Israeli sheckels are out (remember the Golden Calf), rendered immediately soggy.

Moving on to the Muslim refusal to do Sports Drug Tests ... and the Drug News rolls on with Michael's seemingly inexhaustible supply of Drug Stories. Does he have a drug fuelled Think Tank working for him?

Hemp Show Flashback Pt 1 - June 2

11Mb. 42 mins.

Hemp Show Pt. 1. The Big Joint goes to Canberra!

Michael, Gerard, and Sam get back from their week in Canberra, in the nick of time to give a hot hot hot report for this week's show. The Hemp Ambassadors and Diplomats were warmed by their reception at Parliament House, where they were feted by the cream of the Australian political system. (Some muttered asides about the contrast with north coast NSW attitudes ... ) The Goddess knocks 'em out on the lawns of Parliament House, where the Big Joint is reassembled for a benign and friendly, interested crowd. Friendly campfire conversations with the Canberra cops, who seem to be quite human, compared to their north coast brethren.

Hemp Hour Pt1. - Nov. 25
9.3 Mb 23 Hemp Hour Pt. 1 November 25th Edition A delightful opening with profound thoughts on cleanliness, godliness, and birthday greetings to Holy Rastas. Latest, hottest stories on the hot Moslem unerwear model, Michelle Leslie, and thoughts on hypocrisy before some evocative music from the 'Australian Dream' CD - moving poems by an Asylum seeker in the Baxter Detention Centre set to inspirational music. Some observations on the smoking habits of inhabitants of the North Coast of NSW Australia. (Could Cannabis use be the gateway to tobacco abuse and addiction?) The complicated task of legalising opium in Afghanistan. And why did Michelle Leslie resign her job? A little adjusting of the levels before we brace ourselves for a riotous and outrageous Part 2.

Hemp Hour Pt2. - Nov. 25
12.3Mb 42 Min Hemp Hour Pt 2 November 25 Edition. Bob and Michael argue over letters to the Editor. Will drug swab testing test the continuum of cultural mobility of the local community? Perhaps a strategic alliance with truck drivers is the answer. More Drug News headlines - Michelle's job prospects, new cocaine in old wine bottles as a smuggling ploy ... etc. etc. ... A studio visit from the Little People, more on the Birth of Tosh, and a celebratory reggae beat. Just about enough time left to make the weekly awards - will it be to the Victorian Attorney General for his 'mercy flight' to Singapore? Or should it go to the Cannabis Heroes - the Ganja Faeries who saved us from the choppers .... ? More random interruptions and Gratuitous Sedition, inlcuding Martin's now famous Amanda Beastley Mix ... awesome!

Hemp Hour Program Guide
El Presidente Bob in an intensive search for things to go wrong attempts to kick off in a provocative fit of applied morosity. His sullen mood is dispelled by the arrival of Michael B. covered in sweat and a disappointing lack of blood and tears, with the latest drug news, which cheers him up immensely. Great coverage of media behaviour and the Michelle Corby case in Bali. Underwear models in gaol? Where is the media? The media needs watching (and possibly, new lingerie) and Bob and Mike have suggestions. Clone the steaks and stone the crows! Now we get to know what really happened on Animal Farm! And why we're warming up? Never mind - its based on disposable fossil records. Grotesque exaggerations. With reggae, of course. A market projection of Nimbin as the world's Cannabis Capital, while the automobile industry collapses around it, is postulated as a post-postmodern alternative to postmodern modern post-industrial society. Which ... begs the question ... Does the Holden invite penis envy? ... and - who cares, if anyone. - And why? - Into the second hour and some nasty aboriginal hip hop rap. The guys are going strong. Aaah! Then there's the Skatepark. Aaaaah -the Skatepark ... Who cares when the kids don't care? Quick skateover to Indonesia, and the politics and the radical extreme in the military establishment there. What to do with your army when 'your' nation is *not* under attack. And why we should want to believe Johnny Howhard. The habits of Boy Scouts and Girl Guides. What do you do with people you don't like? Good wrap up with Really Serious News. (ie: Politics). Smoulder for Local Member! (Why we might need obligatory' not 'compulsory' voting). Does anyone out there know the difference? Why does Little Johnny Howhard want to make it 'voluntary'? (We've seen the results in the USA, - do we have to replicate them?). Hey, nice news-gleaning, guys!

14 Mb. 1 Hr. Martin lashes back with his notorious Podzine. An on air personal take on the week's politics. And wait! That's not all! Martin introduces his sci-fi audio drama that warps the present into future tensions ... (or should that be the other way round ... ) Get aquainted with Petrov, the blogger from the next century in "The Blogger". Back to the present tense in Nimbin town for a profile of local artist Jesse Bowden. A swift mix between the eyes with "angst radio" (PSA). Keep kool with the computer user tip of the week, and then prepare Howard for your reaction to his New Police Powers. Nimbin voices in the abortion debate and a ten minute talk on the Post Capitalist future with Harry, Peter and Sophia with their suggestions on 'how to see things now'. More giggles and mixed feelings about MacDonalds PR for farmers. Just a community announcement for International MacDonald's day before we get another skit between the ears the GYRO PR spin remedy aural inoculation. Credits: Jesse Bowden, Hector and Steve, Micro Jazz Operating System, et al. For the radio drama, thanks to Marie, Martin P. Judy, and Warwick.
