5MB 5Mins.
---------------------------------------------
Warwick's first attempt at a mix. Real life sound bites from independent, non-embedded British journlist Fiske, some quick snips from Australia's Radio National ABC, nicely located in an ultra music soundtrack by Martin Jansen. Rounded out with miscellaneous (but relevant) sound effects and Australian birdsong. If aliens somewhere off the planet were monitoring stray emissions from Gaia - is this what they would be hearing?

18Mb. 40 Mins. Alkhimiya Part 1 "A Beautiful Night" live.
Last September Alkhimiya played their first public gig in the Nimbin Town Hall. Rare sound recordings have been found of that live performance of local interpretations of Middle Eastern and Indian music. Here is the first part of "A Beautiful Night" including Alkhimiya, readings of the Sufi Poet Hafiz, The Nomads bellydancing troupe, and some freestyle drumming and jamming with end-of-night audience participation.
--------------------------------------------
More recently (December 16th) Alkhymiya performed at another benefit concert at the Nimbin Town Hall called "A Night at the Kasbah" for the Tuntable Falls Community School. The above post is a foretaste of the great interpetations of middle Eastern and Indian music performed last year. The music of "A Night at the Kasbah" will be posted here soon. Meanwhile, enjoy "A Beautiful Night" with Alkhimiya.
We present this as a sample of alkhimiya's music, before we post the concert that took place December 16, with "The Nomads" bellydancing troupe. ---

---------------------------------------------
Marie Cameron interviews some of the key players in the Euthanasia debate. An old interview, but one that is very relevant to the fundamentalist fuelled debate running currently. The Howard government is discussing legislation to make it illegal to discuss euthanasia on the internet or over the phone.
