Tasmania election - results so far 14-7-3....sound like a sport score, according to media sources it was like that, and a dirty game at that.. Tassie info can be accessed through: www.wilderness.org.au/campaigns/forests/ tasmania. TWS started in Tassie about 30 years ago, and although these days everything is consumed by the lust for money it also puts out really good info.I tried to find the statistic for plantations in Tassie, its there I've found it before but most info on this stuff is hard to find some stats. 20000 hectares of native forest clearfelled and burned every year - 80 000 hectares have been cleared in the last seven years, so as you can see from the stats they are increasing extraction A.R.C. Autonomous Regions Coalition - want to hear of a political system that sounds equal to me (-human equation).. The slaughter of trees continues - leaked documents show illegal land clearing in western N.S.W. - while we all stand on and point the finger. Oxford University professor Myers estimates 200 million years Great Barrier Reef - a look at different points of view at our fast vanishing natural wonders. What do dinosaurs and humans have in common? besides being creddited with a prodigious appetite. Sorry for inadvertent cross promotion of scan dot org File info: 28 mins. MB 32 kb/s mono |

In this last part Peter demonstrates the massive radiation dangers from MINING, Yes !!! Just the process of mining the ore.
Furthermore the inadequacy of government bodies, scientific mumbo jumbo, distorting, and negating facts, and twisting makes it almost impossible for the public to scutinize.
He cites the shirking of responsibilties and accountability.
Secrecy of research and regulations to prevent public scrutiny, causes distrust, and a huge credibility deficit .
The maze of institutions, gov. departments and industry organisations is so convoluted, almost incomprehensible in its web of obfuscation, lies and nuclear industry propaganda.
Peter makes the case that Australia has become a third world country in the standards of toxic waste dumping.
Anti nuclear campaigners are given a NEW VOCABULARY to fight the NU KILLER POWER.

In part 3 Peter goes into the details of health ramifications.
He shows that in all points the claims of the nuclear industry are fraught with wrong data, questionable measuring methods, and outright ignorance of scientific facts.
His presentation is mixed with historical clips from anti nuclear campaigns, protest musicians, and indigenous speakers.
The uranium mining itself is shown to be of more danger to us, than nuclear waste from power plants.
